We’re Resuming US Shipping!

TLDR: We’re resuming shipping to the US as usual, and no tariffs will be assessed.

It’s been just over a month since we were forced to suspend shipping to the US, and we’ve been hard at work finding a solution in the time since. We’re happy to announce that we’ll be resuming shipping to the US as normal starting October 12, 2025.

Shipping to the US will resume as before, with no tariffs assessed for our US customers. In fact, we expect our new shipping solution to provide shipping at a lower cost to all our customers!

No Tariffs?

That’s right! Since our products are designed and manufactured in Canada, they are covered by the Canada-United States-Mexico Agreement (CUSMA). That means they are exempt from tariffs.

In order to demonstrate compliance with CUSMA, we need evidence directly on our products that they are indeed made in Canada. Every single product in a package needs to have a marker of its origin as Canada. Those of you based in the US will now see a dash of our Canadian pride in the form of these “Made in Canada” stickers.

Going a bit overboard with the stickers in our Classic kits. We’re making sure every item in the package is identified as coming from Canada.

Business as usual

We’ve now shipped out all US-bound packages for orders that were placed between August and end of September.

Orders from the US placed this week and remaining outstanding orders will ship out next week. Lower shipping prices that reflect our new carriers have already been rolled out.

After that, we’re back to normal with our weekly shipping to the US.

A big thank you to everyone in the US for your patience while we work through these expected challenges. Now, let’s get back to building some cool open source stuff!
